Mission Statement

The American Society for Computer Assisted Orthopedic Surgery – (CAOS-USA) is a non-profit organization focusing on the impact of surgical planning, navigation and robotics as well as smart surgical instrumentation on orthopedic surgery. The goal this field is to improve quality control in patient care by making surgery more precise, more patient-specific, and less invasive.

CAOS-USA aims to provide a forum whereby scientists involved in this field can exchange ideas and information with the aim of improving patient outcomes by improving our ability to optimize variables that are within the surgeon’s control.
